What is the NIU Guaranteed Admission Program?

The NIU Engineering @ RVC program lets you take all of the classes for your Northern Illinois University bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering on the campus of Rock Valley College or your bachelor’s degree in applied manufacturing technology online. With that focus on convenience, it’s no wonder NIU also makes sure the transfer process is smooth and transparent.
When you are two semesters away from completing your associate’s degree at Rock Valley College, you can apply to the Guaranteed Admission Program at NIU. Your participation in this program allows transfer advisors at NIU and RVC to share information during your last year of RVC classes. They will help make sure you are on track to enter NIU as a junior in either the bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or the bachelor’s degree in applied manufacturing technology programs.

With Guaranteed Admission, you can be admitted to NIU while still enrolled at RVC. Once you complete your associate’s degree at RVC, you will be able to enroll in NIU engineering classes taught in DeKalb, online or on the Rock Valley campus.
