Nearly 400 engineering students are expected at the 2021 Fall Job and Internship Fair hosted by the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, where in 2019, 60 global manufacturing companies turned out to recruit for full-time and part-time jobs, co-ops and internships.
The event, which is open to the NIU students, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holmes Student Center, 340 Carroll Ave in DeKalb.
“NIU is a great pipeline for employees for Collins Aerospace,” said Chris Griffiths, Executive Director of Program Development for Collins Aerospace of Rockford. “The quality of the students from NIU always continues to impress. As an alumnus of NIU, class of 1994, I have seen the investment in the CEET, which improves the quality of education of the students and prepares them for future success.”
Registration is $400. Nonprofit companies can register at a discounted rate of $200. Organizations who register by Sept. 14 will receive a $50 discount. Table reservations for companies can now be made online through Huskies Get Hired. Questions can be directed to Stephen Samuels at 815-753-9961 or email@example.com.
“NIU is a hidden gem in northern Illinois,” said Griffiths. “I would encourage local industries to get involved with the CEET program at NIU. It provides a great pipeline of talented future employees.”
