Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Talks Series Planned

Three NIU student organizations of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET) including the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers have joined forces with sponsor Collins Aerospace to host a series of informative and engaging talks by CEET alumni who are emerging leaders in their fields. The events, which are open to all NIU students, faculty and staff, will be held either virtually or in person at the Holmes Student Center.

“As engineers, we know that great creativity and innovation comes from bringing together a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, opinions, and life experiences,” said Dean of CEET Don Peterson, Ph.D. “The students have worked really hard on this series, and we are very proud. We hope these events can start a conversation and converge inter-disciplinary knowledge and skills to coalesce the creativity required to solve complex challenges of our time.”
