Kostic named a panelist at ‘Heat Transfer Olympics’

Milivoje M. Kostic, Ph.D., professor emeritus in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was invited to participate in a panel at the 16th International Heat Transfer Conference, also known as the Heat Transfer Olympics, in 2018.

Kostic will sit on a panel on the development of entransy theory at the conference, which will take place in August 2018 at the Chinese National Convention Center in Beijing. He recently published work on entransy theory and its related controversies.

Kostic has visited China in the past to lecture at Tsinghua University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology about his work in thermal sciences.

The International Heat Transfer Conferences, convened every four years, are the world’s premier conferences for scientists and engineers in the heat and mass transfer research community. Kostic’s work centers on fundamental laws of nature, thermodynamics and heat transfer, entropy, energy efficiency, conservation and sustainability, nanotechnology and nanofluids. He retired from teaching in 2014 to focus on his research.
