Why buy it, when you can build it?

While most of us become frustrated and give up on replacing stolen items, NIU-CEET freshman Stephen Blood found his stolen bike inconvenience to be an excellent opportunity to learn to build an entirely new one!
It takes no ordinary mind to decide to build a bike, especially after your previous bike was stolen.  If that doesn’t seem to be out of the ordinary, you should probably know that Blood built it from a bamboo kit…
Blood, anticipating a degree in Electrical Engineering at NIU-CEET May 2018, bought a bamboo bike kit at the beginning of the summer, which he successfully was able to construct within three short months.
Built using bamboo, carbon fiber and fiber glass
The freshman of NIU-CEET are already impressing us Week 3 of school and we can’t help wondering where these innovative minds will venture to by Senior Design 2018!
