NASA Scholarship Winners

Alexander Torres Soto, Courtney Bradley and Di’Quan Ishmon each won a $3000 scholarship from NASA.

Congratulations to three CEET students who each won a $3,000 Illinois Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) scholarship. The ISGC scholarship supports “outstanding undergraduate students pursuing aerospace, astrophysics, astronomy, cosmology, Earth system science and other interdisciplinary space-related science, engineering or mathematics fields.”

Courtney Bradley is majoring in electrical engineering, Di’Quan Ishmon is a mechatronics major and Alexander Torres Soto is a mechanical engineering major. Each of them also is participating in a new student team organized by Ishmon. They submitted a proposal to build a rover to NASA and if selected, their rover would go to the moon on NASA’s Artemis mission by 2024.
